Leased Lines

Point-TO-Point Leased Lines

Wind Hellas provides Point-to-Point Lease Line Services to Providers and Carriers. The capacities offered are from 2Mbps up to multiple 10Gbps.

The technologies supported are:

  • SDH
  • DWDM

The Physical Carriers used are the following three:

1. LMDS /Wireless Access

This service is a modern means of telecommunication for fixed wireless connection, using LMDS (Local Multipoint Distribution Service) or PtP wireless technology, which immediately provides high connection speeds, compared to conventional connection means.

  • Connection speed ranging from nx64Kbps to 2 Mbps
  • Supply & installation of technical equipment
  • User interfaces Ethernet, X21, G.703
  • Plug and play
  • High network availability

The LMDS/ Wireless service is the most advantageous offer in the market, for it combines low cost with top-quality connection, assistance and plug and play function.

The standard of the European Committee for Electrotechnical Standardization (CENELEC, ENV. 50166-2/1995) sets specific safety limits for the emission factor of wireless links. The emission factor of antennas installed by the company is considerably lower than the permissible maximum limit, as defined by the European standard. Therefore, there is no health risk.

2. Metro Ethernet Connetions

The Metro Ethernet service is an alternative access method of leased lines, providing larger capacity, wider speed range and lower cost than the SDH technology of leased lines.

The service is provided through the company’s optical fiber network.

  • Connection speed ranging from 2Mbps to 1Gbps
  • Supply & installation of technical equipment
  • User interface: Ethernet
  • Quick plug and play
  • Immediate upgrading of circuit capacity
  • High network availability
  • Safety
  • Reliability
  • SLA

The Metro Ethernet service is provided through the optical fiber metropolitan network in

  • Athens
  • Thessaloniki
  • Larissa

This service is the most reliable means of telecommunication access, combining particularly high and guaranteed capacities, based on the company’s optical fiber backbone network.

3. Fiber Optic Connections

Optical fiber connections with SDH technology represent the most advanced and reliable way for a company to connect to the telecommunications provider in order to cover its telephony, internet and multipoint connection needs. It provides high speeds and guaranteed capacity.

Depending on the customer’s needs, the service is divided into 3 categories, based on the circuit protection methods. A Service Level Agreement (SLA) is provided for each of the following categories.

LOW PROTECTION SERVICE (Monthly Availability 99,00%)

  • Single connection of the customer’s points to Tellas backbone network
  • Single routing to the company's backbone network

MEDIUM PROTECTION SERVICE (Monthly Availability 99,95%)

  • Single connection of the customer’s points to the company’s backbone network
  • Protection (double routing) to the company's backbone network

HIGH PROTECTION SERVICE (Monthly Availability 99,99%)

  • Double connection (from different points) of the customer’s points to the company’s backbone network
  • Protection (double routing) to the company's backbone network

The company’s highly trained personnel provide top-quality support services.

To this end, we use:

  • Advanced circuit monitoring devices:
  • Problem tracking & fast-solving mechanisms
  • Network designed with alternative paths
  • 24-hour network supervision & management
  • Fully staffed NOC & equipped (Network Operation Center).

During the service installation, an engineer of the company is dedicated to the customer and is responsible for providing assistance until the service is installed and delivered. Once the service is activated, the experienced personnel of WindHellas NOC are at your disposal 24 hours a day.
