Code of Conduct
Mobile Telephony Code of Conduct.
The aim of Greece’s mobile telephony sector self regulation is to actively participate in the sound use of the added value services offered to consumers (e.g., content services, videos, MMS). The Vodafone, WIND and Cosmote mobile telephony companies have jointly signed a «Code of Conduct», elating to the services with an adult content.
Safer use of mobile phones by children and teenagers
The companies continue to work in further improving the Code by taking industry developments at a European level into consideration. The European Memorandum for the safer use of mobile phones by children and teenagers,has accordingly been incorporated into the Code of Conduct and signed by these companies within the context of harmonization with the above Code.
Providing Electronic Communications Services to the Consumers
The EETT has published the Code of Conduct for providing Electronic Communications Services to the Consumers pursuant to Decision No: 488/82/30-7-2008. This Code regulates matters for providing services to consumers that are complementary to the existing regulatory and legislative framework in force.
Fixed telephony service with a preselected carrier
The EETT in cooperation with the service providers have jointly agreed on a “Code of Conduct” for regulating the provision and operation of the fixed telephony service with a preselected carrier. This relates to implementing, promoting and managing the service by always considering the final consumer. The companies continue to work in further improving the Code by considering industry developments at a European level.
